Internship Opportunity – Cultural Center

This is a bit short notice, but if you are a student at the University of Louisville, or know a student, who would like to gain real-world experience in sustainable agriculture, community gardening, food policy, andВ  community organizing then apply to the Food Policy in Action Internship at the Cultural Center.В  Not only will you gain this knowledge but you will also have a lasting impact on a the first community garden and outdoor education area on campus.В  This internship will work directly with the leadership of Louisville Grows and the Cultural Center while giving you the supervision of the garden space and art installments to be located near the Red Barn.

We are looking for 8 students who have something fresh to say about culture and the are and are interested in dedicating this time to forward career goals while re-defining UofL’s campus.В  If you feel like you have what it takes to apply new and relevant ways of thinking to this project visit the projects web page to learn more or send in a short essay (250 words) regarding your personal goals surrounding one of the topics of: urban agriculture, food security, cultural growth or marketing techniques. After you’ve submitted the essay please email the cultural center to schedule a brief interview no later than February the 19th at 5pm.
