Louisville Grows is a locally grown non-profit that is committed to providing sustainability consultation of the highest quality. We are a group of motivated and energetic citizens with a passion for the Louisville Metro area and have been focused on creating community partnerships to gain the greatest value for our clients. The main functions of our work can be summarized as such:
- Urban Agriculture- Louisville Grows provides a holding-house for community garden resources including but not limited to: raw material donations, intellectual property, volunteer coordination, and site development. This allows us to foster full-scale projects at any point of their operation or need level. We also provide the training, in the form of workshops and speaking engagements, necessary to see these projects to fruition.
- Carbon Analysis and Offsetting- we offer base line carbon data and life cycle analysis of an individual or organization’s operations combined with the ability to source various options for offsetting.
- Efficiency Programs- we offer the creation and implementation of waste management and energy efficiency programs. We first analyze the operations to determine the program of best fit then choose between energy efficiency, operational efficiency, recycling, and/or composting.
- Community Smart Growth Consulting- Louisville Grows brings our resources together to work for government and neighborhood associations to advise on best practices of community development and environmental remediation. This includes advising on business attraction, zero-waste industry clustering, urban planning, and land acquisition strategies.
